YAQUINA ART ASSOCIATION ARTIST SHOW – October 12 – 25, 2024. Erin Thaler & Oil/Acrylic Class Artist
Erin Thaler – “I am a multidisciplinary artist in my early twenties. I find much of my inspiration to come from the natural world, particularly the diverse landscapes of the Pacific Northwest where I spent much of my life. My work spans various mediums, including acrylic paints, water-soluble oils, graphite, pen and charcoal drawings, digital art, and photography. I am especially drawn to depicting animals, landscapes, seascapes, and as of more recently, abstract forms.”
“Although I am self-taught, my artistic journey has been enriched by guidance from family members, instructional videos, and art literature. From a young age, I was captivated by the creative process, watching my father and grandmother dedicate countless hours to painting, which sparked my enduring passion for art.”
“Since 2022, I have had the privilege of showcasing my work at the Yaquina Art Gallery, marking my debut in the art world. While I currently work in a grocery store deli and have experience in library services, my aspiration is to transition to a full-time career in art.”
