Yaquina Art Gallery Spotlight Pedestal Show featuring the artwork of Catherine Hingson – September 24th to October 7th
In a two-week Spotlight Pedestal Show from September 24th to October 7th, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Catherine Hingson. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 4 pm every day.
Catherine Hingson is a local artist from Depoe Bay, and 5th generation Oregonian. Her work is bold and colorful and often has a marine related theme. She is displaying mostly acrylics for the spotlight show at Yaquina Art Gallery. Hingson’s painting style is playful and fun. When asked how she achieves the vivid colors she responded, ” I try not to judge myself or the painting as I’m working, I just play!
