Yaquina Art Association Spotlight Wall Show featuring the artwork of John Bradley and Luella Hartwell, July 9th to July 22nd

YAA Spotlight

In a two-week Spotlight Wall Show from July 9th to July 22nd, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of John Bradley and Luella Hartwell. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 5 pm every day.

The Yaquina Art Association is very proud to showcase the work of John Bradley, master watercolorist.  At the age of 101, John is still actively painting and this two-week show will highlight his well-developed techniques.  He was born and lived in France as a boy, the son of an American soldier.  They moved to the U.S. when he was 10 years old.  Bradley was a dentist by profession and didn’t begin painting with watercolors until after retiring. Ten years ago, he received the Gold Award from the Watercolor Society of Oregon.

Capturing a wave, a flower’s beauty, rustic barns from Oregon’s back roads, the many colors of tide pools, the peacefulness of forest roads, has been a quest and passion for Luella Hartwell.  She uses pastel, acrylic, ink and watercolor to depict and preserve the beauty she encounters and enjoys.  Living in Seal Rock for the past 25 years, and being a member of Yaquina Art Association have provided both education, wonderful friendships, and an unending source of inspiration.

Interested in becoming a member of the Yaquina Art Association? Please visit our gallery in Nye Beach to fill out a membership form. Annual membership dues are $40 and only 30 staffing hours a year are required to take part in an active gallery with a wonderful group of artists.
