The Yaquina Art Association features Pam Parker and Catherine Hingson in a two week Spotlight Show this month from Sept. 3 – Sept. 16, 2016.
Pam Parker is a long-time member of YAA who enjoys doing her art and enjoys the pleasure she hopes to give to others. When she was teaching and having fun with elementary and middle-school children with their art projects, she didn’t dream that when “she grew up” she would spend much of her time creating artwork.
Pam has studied with a variety of artists always learning and enjoying from each. She feels that Tony Couch has probably influenced her work more than most, as he encourages the importance of value change and the importance of painting subjects that have meaning to the artist. Trying different approaches and producing work that has meaning to her and to others are two of her goals.
We hope you will visit the Yaquina Art Gallery in Newport located at 789 NW Beach Drive in the Nye Beach Turnaround. The gallery is open daily from 11:00am – 4:00 pm.
