YAA features 2 artists in spotlight show
The artwork of Christian Flores-Munoz and Jill Keck will be featured in a two week spotlight show at the Yaquina Art Association Gallery in Nye Beach. The show will run daily from 11-4 pm beginning Nov. 15 through Nov. 28th.
Christian Flores-Munoz is a photographer in Newport Oregon and member of the Yaquina Art Association Photographers. Moving here from Guadalajara, Mexico 16 years ago, he has been doing photography for 6 years now. He has won awards with his photography and says he especially loves taking landscape images. He says, “Chances are you will run into me photographing sunsets and sunrises along the Oregon coast.”
Jill Keck and her two daughters will also have some photography, acrylics, watercolor and soap in her display. Everything she creates is based on something near and dear to her. She has been interested in art since her preschool years when she would watch drawing shows on PBS and follow along. For her, art is an expression of emotion. She has two little girls that she is passing along her love for art to. They love creating beside their mother and will have cards and other art for sale as well.
