Color abounds in Jewelry Artisan Spotlight
Yaquina Art Association Gallery in Nye Beach showcases the beautiful jewelry of Linda Cline from July 4- July 17th. The gallery, located at 789 NW Beach Drive in Newport is open daily from 11 am to 5 pm.
Linda Cline celebrates her 15th year designing and creating gemstone and Swarovski Crystal jewelry. Linda says, ” This is busy and exciting year for me because I’m expanding my jewelry into more avenues and Made in Oregon is interested in expanding my lines as well.” 15 years ago Linda started out as a “hobbiest” who had a passion for creating beaded jewelry and who has now grown her business into almost a full time career designing and making all kinds of beads jewels.
Her work is shown at Newport and Lincoln City Farmers markets, the Pacific Artist Alliance Co-op Gallery in Lincoln City, the YAA gallery, assorted gift shops and wholesale accounts with Made in Oregon and Newport Gift Shop. She also shows in Portland as well as home jewelry parties.
Linda works primarily with Swarovski Crystals saying, “I’m a BLING person and I love the marriage of gemstones or Lampwork glass with Swarovski crystals. I also work with gemstones and other glass beads and doing lots and lots of special orders and I will customize a size for my customers.”
Linda does everything from earrings to sets of necklaces and bracelets, anklets, watches and stretchy bracelets for both children and adults. Her earrings primarily use either sterling silver or 14k gold filled wires and her findings which augment or give depth to her styles are primarily sterling silver, pewter and 14k gold filled components.
