2 week Artisan Spotlight – Lanie Shimer
Lanie Shimer will be showing her copper and wood art in a 2 week Artisan Spotlight at the YAA gallery in Nye Beach. The show runs from March 28 thru April 10 and is open from 11 am to 4 pm daily.
Lanie is often found with a torch in her hands welding copper pieces and working them into driftwood to create unique art. She loves finding distinct sculpted driftwood shapes and adds copper to create unique art pieces. She loves combining different mediums to enhance what she sees in each piece. Lanie adds glass, copper, mirrors, pendants, marbles and wire to make her one of a kind images. Lanie shows her work at the Newport Farmers Market in the summer as well as the Yaquina Art Association Gallery year round.
