Two week Artisan Spotlight show featuring the jewelry of Linda Cline
There will be a two week Artisan Spotlight show featuring the jewelry of Linda Cline. The show will run from July 5-18th at the Yaquina Art Association Gallery open daily from 10-5 and located at 789 NW Beach Drive in the Nye Beach Turnaround in Newport Oregon. The show will feature unique displays of beaded jewelry that Linda has created.
Linda says, ” I have been making jewelry for 13 years and i love it. I have always been a crystal fan, in fact I collected Waterford crystal early on, so when I started making earrings, I just had to go for the best – Sawarski crystals and they come in amazing colors so they inspire me to create sparkling jewelry.” Linda Cline as been making jewelry for 12 years now and calls her business Bead Chicas, the name coming from when she and a friend worked together (with Chica being a Spanish term of affection for “girls”) but now she works by herself assisted by her husband, Eric.
Linda uses sterling, pewter, silver and gold-filled findings, plus gemstones, lampwork glass beads, Sawarski crystals and more to create beautiful, affordable jewelry. She stands behind her product and offers old fashioned customer service to her customers. Linda sells at arts and crafts show in Western Oregon and galleries in Newport and Lincoln City as well as supplying wholesale jewelry to Made in Oregon stores.
Linda also enjoys painting ceramics and scrap-booking but really only has time for making jewelry at this time in her life. She has her Masters Degree in English and got her post masters certificate for teaching English as a second language. She has taught ESL at the University of California Riverside. She loves to travel and has been around the United States, and to England, Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Israel, and has done missionary work in Argentina.
