Oil and Acrylic Class featured Spotlight Artists
There will be a two week spotlight featuring the artwork from students in the YAA Acrylic and Oil Painting class. The show will run from Jan. 25 through Feb. 7 at the Yaquina Art Association gallery located at 789 NW Beach Drive in Newport, Oregon. The gallery, located at the Nye Beach Turnaround, is open from 11 am to 4 pm daily.
The Acrylic and Oil Painting class is held on Tues. mornings from 9 am to 11 am. It is open to anyone, beginner or advanced who is interested in painting in an informal setting. The facilitator, Patti Johnson helps guide the class in their painting, offering as much help as is wanted or needed. The class isn’t structured and has lots of room with usually between 7 to 10 students coming out. Artists are asked to bring their own supplies but there is no fee for the class. Patti Johnson loves doing and teaching portraits and offers help learning to do that type of art.
