John Bradley, Featured Artist at YAA Gallery
Award winning artist, John Bradley will be the spotlight artist for the Yaquina Art Association Gallery from November 17 to November 30. The gallery is located at 789 NW Beach Drive in the Nye Beach Turnaround in Newport, Oregon. John Bradley will have framed artwork on the center showcase walls as well as unframed original art for sale at the gallery open from 11 am to 4 pm
John Bradley turned 91 this year and recently received the Gold Award in the Watercolor Society of Oregon, a goal he has had for a long time and which he just achieved this year. John moved to Waldport 30 years ago. He was born and lived in France as a boy, the son of an American soldier. He moved to the U.S. when he was 10 years old. Bradley was a dentist by profession and didn’t begin watercolors until after retiring in his mid 60’s.
John Bradley took art classes at Oakland College of Arts and Crafts and has won International Awards in Photography. He has also taken and enjoyed sculpture classes. John takes turns teaching classes in the Monday Morning Watercolor class offered through the YAA from 9-11 am. John is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, YAA, 4C’s in Lincoln City and is a member of the Yachats Art Guild.
The Yaquina Art Association gallery will have extra arts and crafts available for purchase for the holidays beginning on November 12, 2012.
