June Ambrosek Featured Spotlight Artist
June Ambrosek was born in England, but she has lived in Oregon since 1968. Her love of the natural beauty of land and sea in this amazing state inspires her to express herself in various art forms. She regards her response to her environment as “paint on her palette and a brush in her hand.” She enjoys watercolor, clay and wood carving.
Nature is full of surprises with the changing light from sunrise to sunset throughout the four seasons. It is her desire to translate that beauty into art. At times, when her mood is just right, she prefers abstract expression of color, light, line, texture and vibration, sometimes peaceful and harmonious, and at other times, free and undisciplined. She continues to improve her talents by taking classes and workshops. She tells her friends and family, “My art is the best part of me!”
