Columbia Council of Camera Clubs announces End of Year Award Winners
The Columbia Council of Camera Clubs (4C’s) has announced the end of year award winners from the Yaquina Art Association Photographers. Winners from monthly competitions for both prints and electronic images will be given the opportunity to enter their monthly award winners into an end of year competition to be held at the annual convention in Pasco, Washington from Sept. 28-30th, 2012
Award winners from the color print competition are: Richard LaFond’s “Quail Beach”, George Meyer’s “Yaquina Christmas”, Laren Woolley’s “Subway” & “Slot Canyon”, and JerriLynn Woolley’s “Low Tide at Siuslaw River”, “Retired” and “Mo’s Restaurant”.
Award winners from the Monochrome print competition are: Richard LaFond’s “Patrick”, Laren Woolley’s “Cape Kiwanda Curl” and JerriLynn Woolley’s “White Hoodoo’s.
Award winners from the Electronic Image Division (EID) are: Kim Cuc Tran’s “Supreme Court Columns”, “Newport Belle”, “Victoria Lily”, Ted Crego’s “White Spider”, “Octopus Show”, “Monument Valley”, Vern Bartley’s “Devils Lake”, JoHanna Wienert’s “Spooky Nye”, “Blazing Sunset”, and JerriLynn Woolley’s “Mo’s”.
This group is part of the Yaquina Art Association Photographers that meet at 7 pm on the first and third Monday of each month in the upstairs classroom of the Visual Art Center located at Nye Beach. The photographers have a question and answer time, participates in competitions, have a monthly challenge topic, brings in guest speakers, particiapate in field trips and takes a turn to judge monochrome and digital images as part of the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs competitions.
