Classes with artist Colleen Caubin
I’m full to bursting with what I learned in the 6 week class with Laura Robb. Way too much for one lecture, so I’m going to do 3 classes on 3 consecutive Tuesday’s: Jan 31, Feb 7, and 14 in the 2nd Floor Classroom at the Visual Art Center in Nye Beach. Classes will be from 9 am to 11:30 am.
The first class is suitable for all media and the one to come to for the most complete overview it will be mostly lecture. A note book and pen is all you need for this class.
The next two classes will be demo and paint along with critique those classes would work best for oil, acrylic, and pastel. I will introduce a simple way to understand color that changed my life as a painter. We’ll see why it’s so hard to “paint what you see” and how to solve that, how to paint beautiful glass, and paint with vibrant clean color. We’ll learn how to make paintings that sing with freedom and delight the eye. If you want to take your art to the next level this is a don’t miss opportunity.
