YAA Juried Art Show announces People’s Choice Award
The 13th Annual YAA Juried Art Show announces the Peoples Choice Award winner is Laren Woolley for his photograph “Siuslaw Solitude”. Votes were collected over the entire month of October as the public came in to enjoy the high quality of work that was featured in this show. Laren Woolley’s photograph was taken on a foggy evening under the Florence Oregon bridge on the Siuslaw River. Laren Woolley chose to present this image as a gallery wrap on canvas. Laren Woolley stated that he was delighted with the Peoples Choice award as he takes that as a high compliment that people are drawn to his work. He wishes to thank all of the people who came to look at all of the great work that was featured in this show.
The Juried Art Show had over 160 entries and juror, Bill Cary narrowed that down to about half of that number. Almost every piece juried in received at least one vote for the People’s choice award. The YAA gallery is open daily from 11 – 4 pm at 789 NW Beach Drive in Newport Oregon.
