YAA Photographers Demonstration by Donna McCoy
The Yaquina Art Association Photographers will be honored to have Donna McCoy present a demonstration on close-up photography Monday, November 19, 2012 at 7:00 pm. The meeting and demonstration is open to the public and will be held in the upstairs classroom of the Visual Art Center in Nye Beach on the first and third Mondays of each month.
If Georgia O’Keeffe were alive today, she’d be celebrating her 125th birthday. In honor of Georgia’s passion for painting flowers larger than life, Donna McCoy will be doing a close-up photography demonstration using flowers.
With or without specialized equipment, Donna will share how anyone can create beautiful close-up images. “Contained in a single flower are hundreds of interesting images to be made – all it takes is the time to look and discover.” Donna adds that she likes to call it “play.” Along with a close-up photography demonstration, Donna will share some inspiration and quotes by Georgia O’Keeffe. Donna has photography available for purchase next door to the Visual Art Center in the Yaquina Art Association Gallery in Nye Beach, open daily from 11-4, as well as the 9th Street Gallery in Newport and The Wave Gallery in Yachats, Oregon.
