Daniel Hill Johnson awarded Cloe-Niemela-Clark Scholarship
Every Year Yaquina Art Association gives a $2,000 scholarship to a junior or senior majoring in art at Oregon State University. This year’s winner is Daniel Hill Johnson. Daniel was born and raised in Moab, Utah, but now lives in Albany, Oregon. He enjoys painting landscapes but also does figure painting and abstract sculpture. The rock formations of Utah and the brilliant sunsets have inspired many of his paintings.
Daniel’s work will be exhibited at the Yaquina Art Gallery from July 2nd through August 4th. The public opening and reception will be on Friday, July 5th from 5:30 to 7pm. The gallery is located at 789 Beach Street in Newport.
