Yaquina Art Gallery Features Janice Kobow and Lila Passarelli
Janice Kobow and Lila Passarelli are to be a featured artists at the Yaquina Art Gallery at the Nye Beach turnaround from April 28th to May 11th, 2012. The gallery is open 7 days a week from 11 am to 4 pm.
Janice Kobow studied art at the University of South Dakota and oil paining with Kathy Stewart in Siletz, Oregon. She moved to Oregon in 2000 and became a member of the Yaquina Art Association in 2001. She has had the privilege to learn from and grow with the many amazingly talented artists of YAA. Janice looks at her art work as being impressionistic realism. You can meet and talk with Janice at the gallery on April 29th and May 6th.
Lila Passarelli joined the YAA in 1977. Many years of classes with Bill Runyan and Harry Niemala helped her to enjoy many forms of art. She does work in pen and ink, watercolor, pencil, colored pencil, oil, and for several years has worked in Encaustic, otherwise known as hot wax. Her favorite subjects are of the Oregon lighthouses and seascapes, animals, and now and then landscapes. She really enjoys pets and has begun doing what she calls, Petraits (pet portraits). Petraits of dogs, cats, horses and birds are done with care and attention to detail. She welcomes all critters large and small. Lila has her studio at her home in Makai and welcomes all who wish to visit.Contact her at 541-563-4263.
