Yaquina Art Association Spotlight Pedestal Show featuring the Jewelry of Sherry Secreast, July 2nd to July 15th

YAA Spotlight

In a two-week Spotlight Pedestal Show from July 2nd to July 15th, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the Jewelry of Sherry Secreast. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 5 pm every day.

Sherry Secreast says: I find it rewarding to incorporate different mediums into my work. I’m always discovering and learning new ways to express myself. Just recently I’ve discovered polymer clay and how versatile this medium is. I’ve been adding polymer clay as another mixed media and have incorporated it into my other art. It’s a great addition to mixed media pieces. I like to add repurposed or recycled items to my pieces to give it more substance and meaning. Reusing is so important.  I’ve been collecting beautiful beads for over 40 years as well and adding them into my jewelry pieces. Beads are like paints to me that can bedazzle and sparkle up your necklaces, bracelets and earrings. They breathe new life.
