Yaquina Art Gallery Spotlight Pedestal Show featuring the artwork of Dr. Joyce Centofanti – October 19th to November 1st
In a two week Spotlight Pedestal Show from October 19th to November 1st, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Dr. Joyce Centofanti. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 4 pm every day.
Joyce Michelina Centofanti, PhD lives in Seal Rock and is a professional Artist, Art Educator, Ceramics and Special Education Consultant. “Dr. Joyce” has been exhibiting her work for over 35 years in juried and solo exhibits, museums and galleries throughout the United States. She has also presented and exhibited in Canada, China, Russia and Sweden.
Joyce’s new ceramic artworks capture the Oregon Coast, and they reveal the knowledge and meaning of her experiences. Evoking the response of a smile and laughter, or passionate inquiry from others through the artwork is one of the goals. With the use of color and bold composition in form, the intent is to draw spectators into the whimsical spaces as laughing and/or contemplative participants in the often-lighthearted images.
