Yaquina Art Gallery Wall Spotlight Show featuring the artwork of Graece Gabriel and Josephine Allen – September 14th to September 27th
In a two week Wall Spotlight Show from September 14th to September 27th, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the photography of Graece Gabriel and the artwork of Josephine Allen. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 4 pm every day.
Graece Gabriel’s Spotlight show will highlight many of her rich and thought provoking nature shots, all take taken here at the coast Oregon Coast. Her crow portraits will be featured along with a crashing wave series that gives you a feeling you are face to face with the power of the sea, as well as a variety of nature images highlighting her unique take on our interaction with the natural world. Graece is a local award winning photographic artist who feels that nature loves us back. She is known for her macro photos of wet flowers, playful crow portraits, and unusual perspectives on the sea and the surrounding vistas.
Josephine Allen has been enjoying art for many years. She recently traveled to Italy and visited Florence, Tuscany, Cierra Terra, and Rome. She was very inspired by Michelangelo and the many artists of Italy who were ahead of their times in painting with light and dark. She hopes to continue to paint as long as many of the those artists did and her new show will feature pictures that she painted of local areas of Lincoln County as well as her animals.
