Yaquina Art Gallery Wall Spotlight Show featuring the artwork of Lila Passarelli and the photography of Donna McCoy – August 31st to September 13th

YAA Spotlight

In a two week Wall Spotlight Show from August 31st to September 13th, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Lila Passarelli and the photography of Donna McCoy. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 5 pm every day until September 2nd. After Labor Day hours are 11 am to 4 pm.

Artist Lila Passarelli will have a variety of paintings in her show: animals, flowers, landscapes, and perhaps a seascape in this year’s show. Lila has been a member of Yaquina Art Association since 1977. Lila has worked with many mediums over the years: oils, watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, pen & ink, and for the last 30 years encaustic (hot wax painting) artwork. These days, she now concentrates on oils and encaustic, with a bit of pencil to keep in practice.

Donna McCoy enjoys exploring tide pools with her camera, looking for unusual animals and art forms to photograph and share. From the common sea star to the less common slug, she sees beauty in them all.
In her latest show, Donna highlights some of the animals that live in the inter-tidal zone such as sea slugs, jellies, urchins and more. Sometimes her close up work takes on an unworldly art form.

Please stop by the Yaquina Art Gallery to see her new and unusual sea life photography.
